ABSTRACT
Recent studies indicate a mutual epidemiological relationship between coronary heart disease (CHD) and periodontitis. Both diseases are associated with similar risk factors characterized by chronic inflammatory process. In candidate-gene association study, we identify an of genetic susceptibility locus shared both diseases.
