ABSTRACT
To describe the quality of life and related factors in HIV-positive spouses undergoing ART from discordant couples.A cross-sectional study was conducted among 1,009 serodiscordant couples Zhumadian, Henan Province, between October 1, 2008 March 31, 2009. were interviewed by local health professionals. Quality evaluated WHOQOL (Chinese Version). A multiple linear regression model used to analyze factors.The majority subjects female (56.39%), had received a high school education (44%), Han ethnicity (98.41%), farmers (90.09%); median time period receiving 3.92 years. The physical, psychological, social, environmental QOL scores 12.91±1.95, 12.35±1.80, 13.96±2.43, 12.45±1.91 respectively. identified physical domain be CD4 count, educational level, occupation; psychological include age, reported STD symptom; social included level; symptoms, occupation.Being younger, farmer, having lower level education, symptom, or could decrease one's life, suggesting that use blanket programs alone may not necessarily improve life. Subjects domain, intervention also need strengthened.
