ABSTRACT
Purpose To investigate the correlation between diffusion-weighted (DW) and dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) derived parameters radioresponsiveness of Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) tumor. Materials Methods LLC tumor growth in C57BL/6 mouse limb was used for experiment. The tumors were irradiated with 10 Gy×5, or 30 Gy×2 vs. sham irradiation. Fourteen subjected to DW-MRI DCE-MRI pre-radiotherapy weekly after radiotherapy. temporal changes apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) (Ktrans, kep, ve, vp) correlated size, histologically compared CD31 staining resected tumors. Results Gy×5 dose inhibited a week, while controlled 3-week observation period. One week radiotherapy (week 2), showed significantly higher values ADC than untreated ones (10 p = 0.004; Gy×2, 0.01). Significantly ve shown earlier by (p 0.01) irradiation 0.05). Sustained from evident at 3 0.016) 4 0.046). A 13.8% early increase group 0.002) 16.5% noted (which 2.2% decrease). No differences found Ktrans, vp. Both groups demonstrated significant reduction microvessel counts. Conclusion Early control
