ABSTRACT
Despite massive research efforts, the molecular etiology of bovine polledness and developmental pathways involved in horn ontogenesis are still poorly understood. In a recent article, we provided evidence for existence at least two different alleles Polled locus identified candidate mutations each them. None these was located known coding or regulatory regions, thus adding to complexity understanding basis polledness.
