ABSTRACT
Community structure is one of the most commonly observed features Online Social Networks (OSNs) in reality. The knowledge this feature great advantage: it not only provides helpful insights into developing more efficient social-aware solutions but also promises a wide range applications enabled by social and mobile networking, such as routing strategies Mobile Ad Hoc (MANETs) worm containment OSNs. Unfortunately, understanding very challenging, especially dynamic networks where interactions are evolving rapidly. Our work focuses on following questions: How can we efficiently identify communities networks? adaptively update network community based its history instead recomputing from scratch? To end, present Quick Adaptation (QCA), an adaptive modularity-based framework for discovering tracing evolution QCA fast sense that updates discovers new together with changes only. This flexible approach makes ideal applicable analyzing large-scale due to lightweight computing-resource requirement. illustrate effectiveness our framework, extensively test both synthesized real-world including Enron, arXiv e-print citation, Facebook networks. Finally, demonstrate applicability real applications: (1) A message forwarding strategy MANETs, (2) propagation Competitive results comparison other methods reveal social-based techniques employing detection core outperform current available methods.
