Recently, our research group identified and reported 1,8-cineole (CIN), a monoterpene that naturally occur in many aromatic plants, as one of the major constituent essential oil from leaves Hyptis martiusii (EOHM), well characterized gastroprotective action this oil. The aim study was to investigate mechanisms involved antiulcer healing activity CIN, order confirm its correlation with effect EOHM. Wistar rats were exposed different protocols (acute ulceration, gastrointestinal motility antisecretory activity).
