ABSTRACT
To determine if the GnRH antagonist protocol is effective in preventing ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) potentially high responders.A total of 660 IVF-ET/ICSI cycles were retrospectively identified. The inclusion criterion was age ≤ 30 years. Cycles divided into two groups: a GnRHa group and GnRHant group. In group, patients received one single injection 1.0mg-1.3mg Triptorelin previous mid-luteal phase. daily dose 0.25 mg Cetrotide initiated when lead follicle obtained mean diameter 14 mm, continued up until day hCG administration. duration stimulation, Gn, implantation rate, pregnancy OHSS rate compared. The E2 level on day, numbers oocytes retrieved, MII oocytes, high-quality embryos all significantly more than those 83.53% cancelled fresh-transferred because risk OHSS, which higher that (43.55%, P<0.05). incidence slightly clinical rates (37.36% VS 19.25%, 62.78% 31.06%; P<0.05).Our study demonstrated for responders, can, to some extent, lower cancellation OHSS. superior terms rates.
