ABSTRACT
Olive (Olea europaea L.) is one of the most important crops in Mediterranean region. The expansion cultivation areas irrigated with low quality and saline water has negative effects on growth productivity however investigation molecular basis salt tolerance olive trees been only recently initiated. To this end, we investigated response cultivar Kalamon to salinity stress using next-generation sequencing technology explore transcriptome profile leaves roots identify differentially expressed genes that are related response. Out 291,958 obtained trimmed reads, 28,270 unique transcripts were identified which 35% annotated, a percentage comparable similar reports non-model plants. Among 1,624 clusters comprise more than read, 24 comprising 9 down- 15 up-regulated genes. Respectively, inleaves, among 2,642 clusters, 70 as expressed, 14 56 Using able salt-response-related transcripts. Furthermore provide an annotated well expression data, both significant tools for further studies olive.
