ABSTRACT
In this study samples of feedstuffs were collected from different feed mills and animal farms located in central Italy analyzed for ionophore coccidiostat residues at carry-over levels by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. Since unavoidable cross-contamination may occur during their production as well distribution storage, the collection covered all these stages. Residues lasalocid, monensin, salinomycin maduramicin detected 32.4% samples, both storage level. The maximum content set Regulation (EU) No 574/2011 was exceeded 11.3% samples. variability results highlighted approach each investigated business operator to avoid any non-target feed. method developed can be able detect coccidiostats low concentrations consequent carry-over.
