Participants were previously ambulatory living community. assessed postoperatively muscle mass estimated by anthropometry using triceps skinfold, arm circumference, height, weight sex. Grip strength measured Jamar dynamometer pre-fracture mobility self-report New Mobility Score.Out 282 patients, 202 whom 74 (37%) diagnosed as sarcopenic. associated age, odds ratio (OR) 1.4 per 5 years, 95% confidence interval (CI) [1.1, 1.8], ASA Physical Status Classification System score, OR 2.3 point, CI [1.3, 4.3] number medications at discharge, 1.2 medication, [1.0, 1.3] inversely BMI, 0.8, [0.7, 0.9] serum albumin, 0.9, [0.8,1.0].Thirty-seven percent subjects sarcopenia. Our data demonstrates that malnutrition comorbidities. Determining bedside feasible postoperative fracture grip strength, estimation self-reported mobility.
