ABSTRACT
Our aim in this report was to describe the characteristics of first clinical isolate Escherichia coli (EC-PAG-733) harboring mcr-1 gene found Mexico. This obtained from a fecal sample young child with an oncological condition. We whole-genome sequence using next-generation sequencing and analyzed by bioinformatics tools. EC-PAG-733 resistant third- fourth-generation cephalosporins susceptible all carbapenems amikacin; it also ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, gentamicin colistin at minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 4 μg/mL. classified as O11:H25-ST457. harbored ESBL type CTX-M-55 well several virulence factors that have been associated Enteroaggregative (EAEC). The located within IncI2 plasmid. results whole genome shotgun project were deposited DDBJ/ENA/GenBank under accession number QKXE00000000.
