ABSTRACT
Hepatic steatosis is the most common chronic liver disease in Western countries. Both genetic and environmental factors are known as causes of although their underlying mechanisms have not been fully understood. This study investigated association DNA methylation with oleic acid-induced hepatic steatosis. It also examined effects food components on Genome-wide acid (OA)-induced lipid accumulation vitro cell model was using reduced representation bisulfite sequencing. Changes were analyzed after treatment decreasing OA-induced model. We identified total 81 regions that hypermethylated by OA but hypomethylated or vice versa. determined expression seven genes proximally located at selected differentially methylated regions. Expression levels WDR27, GNAS, DOK7, MCF2L, PRKG1, CMYA5 significantly different between control vs components. demonstrated associated found reversely changed induced alleviated accumulation. These results suggest one causing its regulation provides insights may prevent alleviate
