ABSTRACT
Background Overweight and obesity is a severe global health issue in both developed developing nations. This study aims to estimate the national prevalence of overweight among school-aged children Vietnam. Method We conducted cross-sectional on 2788 aged from 11–14 years old September November 2018. applied WHO 2007 IOTF criteria participants. Poison regression analysis with cluster sampling adjustment was employed assess associated factors overweight. Metadata sociodemographic characteristics, physical measurements, lifestyle behaviors were also extracted investigate these association prevalence. Results The prevalences Vietnamese 17.4% 8.6%, respectively by Z-score criteria, 17.1% 5.4%, according reference.
