Determinants of knowledge, attitudes, and practices in relation to HIV/AIDS and other STIs among people with disabilities in North-Shewa zone, Ethiopia

ABSTRACT
People with disabilities face socioeconomic disadvantages and they have limited access to sexual reproductive health information. They are highly vulnerable abuse which places them at increased risk of HIV STI infection. At present, however, little is known about the knowledge, attitude practice sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS other STIs in Ethiopia. This study aimed identify individual factors best predict attitudes, practices relation among people North-shewa zone, Ethiopia.A cross-sectional was conducted from June October 2019. A total 397 respondents were interviewed using a structured pre-tested questionnaire. systematic sampling technique employed select respondents. Logistic regression performed analyze data. significant association declared p-value less than 0.05.Nearly half participants knowledgeable (47.3%) (46.9%). Sixty-two percent had good towards evidence while sixty-nine helpful facts STIs. Twenty-three been ever tested for infections.
