ABSTRACT
The complex design of transportation infrastructure hinders communication between different roles in the project, which makes it difficult to promote Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) mode. This paper discusses a simulation and system based on Building Information Modeling Virtual Reality for (DSC-BV-TI system), integrated with BIM, VR developed by using game engine. Based an analysis user’s demand, introduces three-dimensional BIM model traffic immersive environment realizes design, weather simulation, virtual driving, sight distance calculation, visual other functions project system’s safety assessment scheme decision. is applied Jinjiazhuang Extra-Long Tunnel Yan-Chong Expressway Hebei Province, was built 2022 Winter Olympics. results show that, DSC-BV-TI system, designer has completed display overall scheme: user can use steering wheel drive vehicle; head-mounted play picture; realize interaction variety simulated conditions environments; IPD mode communicate make decisions infrastructure, tunnel speed limit aspects that key role. 8 advantages 4 disadvantages identified through questionnaire survey, including high fidelity, efficiency low cost. At same time, according research results, three suggestions help improve are discussed. as bridge team stakeholders reduces gap promotes implementation projects.
