Strengths and challenges of a school-based sexual and reproductive health program for adolescents in Chile

ABSTRACT
Background Adolescent sexual and reproductive health services in Chile have been primarily provided through centers. Although some school-based initiatives implemented, to date, these not assessed. This study aims identify strengths challenges of the affectivity sexuality component 3A Program, a program which seeks prevent risk behaviors promote healthy lifestyle habits within public schools (addressing topics Spanish begin with letter ‘A’, hence ‘3A’), implemented municipality Lo Prado, city Santiago. Methods We carried out qualitative descriptive-interpretative approach three schools. conducted in-depth interviews students, teachers, professionals, school principals (N = 44); focus groups students 3), teachers personnel 3).
