ABSTRACT
The interaction of CD155 with its ligand, the T cell immunoreceptor Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT), is being studied owing to potential act as a target in treatment various solid tumors. However, relationship between TIGIT colorectal cancer (CRC) prognosis not known. We hypothesized that TIGIT-CD155 pathway suppresses attack cells on tumors, thereby affecting CRC prognosis. We examined expression using immunohistochemical staining 100 consecutive patients who underwent complete resection ≤Stage III tumors at Wakayama Medical University Hospital January December 2013. assessed correlation expressions well clinicopathological background TIGIT.Patients high showed worse than those other levels (p = 0.026). In multivariate analysis also included existing prognostic markers, were identified independent poor factors. The possibly plays an important role immunological mechanism CRC. Therefore, it may be possible effectively predict postoperative by evaluating combined TIGIT. study findings suggest can clinical outcomes, contributing personalized care
