ABSTRACT
The paranasal sinuses are hollowed, air-filled cavities surrounding the nasal cavity. Many pathological processes affect sinuses, but inflammatory conditions commonest, even in asymptomatic patients who undergo head imaging for other indications showing one or more abnormalities of sinuses. Our research aims to determine prevalence incidental seen among CT scanning. In addition, it provides baseline information further investigations required. study was designed evaluate all underwent scanning any reason unrelated abnormalities. 1849 cases were selected and retrospectively analyzed from elective emergency last nine months, August 2020 April 2021. order meet inclusion criteria, must not be sinus-related. conducted on had undergone scans pathology, 1204 (65%) male 645 (35%) female. Abnormalities found about 617 (33%) patients, with a higher rate males (22.23%) than females (11.14%). these younger at middle old ages 19.74%, 7.19%, 6.44%, respectively. findings revealed that Saudi high (33%). Most affected maxillary. findings.
