Scoping review of qualitative studies investigating reproductive health knowledge, attitudes, and practices among men and women across Rwanda

ABSTRACT
Background Research efforts in Rwanda to improve sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) are increasing; however, comprehensive literature reviews on SRHR limited. This scoping review examines individual contextual factors shaping knowledge, attitudes, practices the domains of: 1) family planning, 2) abortion care, 3) other Rwanda. Recognizing that individual, community, societal influence RH, this is guided by Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory . Methods Eligible studies were conducted Rwanda, included males and/or females of any age, published within past 20 years. Studies reporting views only healthcare or professionals excluded. Results Thirty-six included. The majority addressed considerations. At level, explored knowledge about problems while at interpersonal support attitudes men community members for adolescent investigated.
