ABSTRACT
Self-determination has become the key construct to ensure development of skills that allow people with disabilities gain control over their lives. This study, from an inclusive research paradigm, seeks assess self-perceptions about self-determination 122 adults intellectual in Chile. The data this have been collected through ad hoc questionnaire online software format and a semi-structured interview. main results show how participants low levels self-determination. competencies related self-defense or self-instruction are greatly diminished unlike other such as decision making problem solving. From these evidences it is discussed challenges face during adulthood (relocation place residence, aging, etc.) demand new strategies guide work on In addition, involving real participation recognized important element for promotion
