ABSTRACT
Study Aims: to analyze the significant relationship contribution of Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEI) in socioeconomic development São Paulo municipalities period from 2010 2014. Methodology: quantitative approach, an explanatory nature, with documentary research on data 637 state Paulo. Based studies by Silva & Porto Júnior (2006) and Caldarelli Perdigão (2018), Gross Domestic Product (Municipal GDP) Firjan Municipal Development Index (IFDM) were defined as dependent variables total Existing MEIs per municipality. Main results: there evidenced positive coefficients MEI´s 24 low medium growth, Methodological contributions: use Quantile Regression technique, more appropriate estimate independent categorized high variability, demonstrated Hao Naiman (1949), Santos (2012), Das, Krzywinski Altman (2019) Koenker Hallock (2001). Relevance originality: study expands, part, understanding previous different relationships pointed out between MEI, GDP IDFM categories municipal development. Contributions management: public managers, both small or large cities, based differentiated actions consistent each context, have a policy fostering supporting creation micro businesses one effective ways enhance impact
