ABSTRACT
This paper presents the use of an enhanced version conventional cuckoo search algorithm (ECSA) for solving optimal generation coordination hydrothermal system where objective is to minimize both fuel cost and emission, hydro model represented as a quadratic function water discharge with respect generation. The ECSA method built operation based on several modifications Cuckoo (CSA). In method, by evaluating fitness all initial eggs they are divided into two parts including high quality one lower value bad higher value. tested systems obtained results from compared those other methods. comparison reveals that so efficient considered problem.
