ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND: Height is the major parameter of personal identification. In any kind mishap, forensic scientists require to estimate stature from body part(s).Confidence intervals or confidence limits provide basis for such identification.OBJECTIVE: To determine 95% mean heights on segment.MATERIAL & METHODS: The study consisted 100 males and females.Their hand length, breadth, foot length breadth right left side was recorded.Logistic regression analysis carried out know segment(s) identifying gender.95% height identified segment were determined.RESULTS: Logistic revealed Right Hand Width Foot Length could correct gender. Thus each observed value male female generated.Validity that 75% 40% lie in interval according while 100% 67% females, respectively.CONCLUSION: range within which individual may have his/her instead single value. This gives good approximation actual (height).
