ABSTRACT
Rationale. The genetic aspects influencing the effectiveness of metformin (MF) therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DMT2) have recently been intensively studied. Objective — to study association between rs11212617 polymorphism ATM gene and response DMT2 Novosibirsk region conduct a metaanalysis previously reported data. Material methods. 460 (97 males 363 females) who received MF, both as part monotherapy combination sulfonylurea (SU) drugs, were subjected cross-sectional examination. Depending on HbA1c level, divided into following groups: attained target level after MF (n=209) those did not attain although receiving maximum dose (n=251). Alleles genotypes determined by real-time PCR using TaqMan probes at Institute Chemical Biology Fundamental Medicine (SB RAS). Results. Frequency rare C allele examined was 0.41 statistically differ subgroups therapy. Statistically significant genotype revealed neither total group (OR=0.94, 95% CI 0.73—1.23; p=0.67) nor or (OR=1.02, 0.72—1.43; p=0.92). However, results verify that is associated attainment HbAc1 (the OR=1.27, 1.10—1.46; p=0.0008). Conclusions. can influence patients.
