ABSTRACT
This paper presents the results of a methodology to evaluate the additional potential of urban construction using LiDARdata and tridimensional objects parametrization. The objective of the research was to quantify the potential value ofbuilding space not built aiming to launch CEPACs (Certificates of Additional Construction Potential), from modelingwith CityEngine software and the use of LiDAR. The studied area is located in Joinville-SC, where the data and theurban parameters were defined by specific legislation at the federal and municipal levels to characterize the potentialadditional construction were collected.
