ABSTRACT
Groundwater reserves are strategic sources for public water supply. This regional study, accompanied by geomorphologic, geologic, and hydrostratigraphic maps, highlights the importance of stratigraphic hydrochemical research in preserving areas susceptible to contamination, such as aquifer recharge zones. The aquifers were subdivided into Pre-Guarani Aquifer System (PRE-GAS), Guarani (GAS), Serra Geral (SGAS). article paper analyzed hydrogeological characteristics Pardo River watershed, focusing on lithostratigraphic units Rosário do Sul Group Botucatu Formation Caxias Gramado facies (SGAS) present study area. In terms hydrogeochemistry, from wells was classified sodium bicarbonate PRE-GAS, calcium GAS SGAS. average specific capacity 102 0.72 m3/h/m 1.76 GAS, 0.44 use domain SIAGAS database is recommended, but it requires proper validation standardization. reinforces a sustainable approach ensure long-term availability groundwater resources region.
