ABSTRACT
Encephalitis is caused by multiple organisms, but rarely the hepatitis A virus.A 27-year-old man visited our hospital because of fever, altered consciousness, and seizures.On physical exam, a stuporous mentality neck stiffness were found.On laboratory elevated liver enzymes cerebrospinal fluid abnormalities, including pleocytosis protein levels observed.The virus (HAV) IgM antibody was also detected.We conclude that these findings compatible with encephalitis associated HAV discuss pathomechanisms.(2011;1:27-28) Key words: Hepatitis virus; etiologies, viruses autoimmune disorders.The most common symptoms are seizures alterations consciousness [1].Hepatitis A, which (HAV), induces acute involves nervous system [2,3].Here, we present clinical characteristics patient HAV-associated review compare previous reports.
