ABSTRACT
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate serum biomarker values measured during second-trimester aneuploidy screening in terms of their predictive ability for the development retinopathy prematurity (ROP) premature infants. Methods: retrospective cohort evaluated data 1985 idiopathic infants who underwent ROP from 2016 2022.The were divided into two groups according presence ROP, and those with further subgroups based on proliferation.Comparisons made concerning multiple median unconjugated estriol (uE3), human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) among biomarkers. Results: While 1628 non-ROP group, 357 group.Of 72 proliferative group 285 non-proliferative group. There was no significant difference biomarkers (uE3, hCG, AFP) between or groups. Conclusion:The not able predict infants. This result may have been caused by fact that blood tests taken only once same weeks.
