ABSTRACT
Carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacteremia (CR-GNB) is seen with increasing frequency and result in high mortality. The aim of this study was to compare the risk factors results carbapenem-resistant carbapenem-susceptible determine related mortality. The conducted as a retrospective observational comparative case series between June 2016 November 2017 Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training Research Hospital. patients were divided into two groups according antibiotic susceptibility data blood cultures. for development carbapenem resistance, length hospital stay, mortality rates, investigated these groups. Two hundred eleven cases included study. Of cases, 54 resistant 157 susceptible carbapenem. Mortality occurred 60 (28.4%) patients. 14 28 day rates resistance significantly higher than those without resistance. There no statistically significant difference stay after bacteremia. Pittsburgh score, cardiovascular disease, urinary catheterization, inappropriate empirical therapy most mortality.Carbapenem associated increased treatment increases Therefore, should be evaluated predicting CR-GNB pathogens applied appropriate
