ABSTRACT
Archaeology of churches can be a powerful and interesting platform to study Late Antique Early Medieval societies. However, in Northwest Spain this topic remains limited stylistic typological studies, despite being very promising area study, given the high density ecclesiastical foundations that reflect texts. The first step order begin kind research is collect analyze features problems available material data. According idea, part work intends carry out brief but complete recompilation critical review (in some extent, for time) scattered information on structures Galicia, is, between 5thand 8thcenturies. This catalogue, 50 cases, will based both previous archaeological works stylistic-typological approaches from History Art. These two areas have initiated last years intense debates about chronologies characteristics churches, they remain usually separated each other. In we discuss main possibilities common approach.
