The interfunctional collaboration configures one of the success-driving factors for innovation market. However, between different areas organisation is characterised by intangibility. Thus, coordination mechanisms them must be formalised. In light exposed issue and considering increasing competition in higher education sector Brazil, present study seeks to comprehend how service development occurs within a university, analysing convergences divergences managers' speeches involved order to, consequently, propose improvements. research we conducted explanatory qualitative. results allow us affirm that analysed institution does not have formalised development, as well presents gaps being informal. As main contribution, systematics proposed qualify through organisational communication practices.
