An exploratory survey on the impacts of Logistics 4.0 on Italian manufacturing companies

This article focuses on manufacturing logistics, exploring how Italian companies are approaching Logistics 4.0. The purpose is to evaluate the state of art technology adoption, highlighting main influencing factors, and showing related benefits obstacles. An exploratory survey was carried out 91 companies. significance influence factors analysed regarding level adoption L4.0 has been demonstrated. study also included eight interviews with respondents undertaken validate insights from results. overall results indicate that 4.0 still immature but huge potential. Moreover, few adopting at least one have sought mainly warehouse activities efficiency in process operations. awareness intends a harmonious integrated implementation digital technologies support logistics processes not yet become widespread.
