ABSTRACT
Abstract Ternary conductive ceramic Cr 2 AlB phase has been widely studied because of its unique physical and chemical properties. However, the preparation conventional synthetic requires expensive raw materials or higher equipment cost, which is not conducive to synthesis promotion. Hence, we synthesized high-content by thermal explosion reaction, a technology with low-energy consumption. was reaction from Cr/Al/B mixed powders. The effects different ignition diamond additive on were systematically. Results showed that system did undergo reaction. An aluminothermic between Al O 3 occurred introducing small amount . main products Cr/Al/B/Cr green body CrB. addition an appropriate (7.5 % 10 %) in material can obviously promote synthesis. phases product samples composed large number fine lath grains. Finally, mechanism formation proposed.
