Abstract In the article, which is a theoretical and conceptual introduction for Special Issue of Moravian Geographical Reports on ‘New trends challenges urban agriculture in context Europe’, authors resume review diverging issues agriculture, exploring discussing them from geographical perspective wider transformation rural spaces, regeneration renewal, agricultural restructuring, multifunctionality, ecosystem services, land-use conflicts social responsibility. After that depicts changing role transformations, current research Europe summarised reviewed. Then main concepts growing expanding are presented discussed with special emphasis these pose to geographers.
