ABSTRACT
Abstract Lightweight magnesium (Mg) alloys are employed in a wide range of applications due to their high specific strengths. Nevertheless, some require improvement the wear resistance Mg alloys. The purpose this study was investigate effect initial surface conditions, cold spray temperature, and coating material on sprayed coatings WE43 substrate. Blasted sandpapered surfaces were coated with commercial powders K-32 (Ni Al 2 O 3 ) K-714 (Zn, Ni, ). materials blasted at 500 °C 600 °C. Surface roughness, thickness examined. Deposition efficiency improved by raising N gas temperature. samples greatest those that Zn, powder mixture temperatures °C, where deposition is maximum. Cold enhanced
