ABSTRACT
Abstract Ash and slag waste accumulated throughout the world in appreciable amounts are, essence, man-made deposits are of interest as a potential source critical elements, particular Sc, well raw materials for obtaining construction materials. Coals from Siberia Far East used fuel at thermal power plants (TPPs) Primorsky Territory Russia. These coals characterized by high Sc content. The content ash wastes landfills six TPPs Krai was determined neutron activation analysis with Cf-252 radionuclide source. ranged 5.1 to 52.7 ppm. Average concentrations 23.3 Verification INAA method carried out comparing ICP-MS data reference (laterite carbonatite scandium-containing ores). possibility using Sc-46 isotope, produced activation, radioactive tracer assess effectiveness operations extraction concentration is shown. has been preconcentrated initial plant precipitation form hydroxide, followed separation accompanying elements dissolving hydroxide sodium or hydrochloric acid. concentrating more than 4 times
