ABSTRACT
Abstract The demonstrations impact of CeO 2 on the radiation shielding properties SiO –B O 3 –BaO–Li glasses has been investigated. observed trend in density ρ ranged from 3.127 to 4.022 g/cm³, whereas molar volume V m these decreased. half-value layers (HVL), and mean free paths (MFP) CL reinforce notion that presence Ce ions, particularly , enhances ability glasses’ attenuate gamma rays. effective electron ( N eff ) increases with addition suggesting a correlation between enhancement amount incorporated into glasses.
