ABSTRACT
Abstract Polyropylene (PP)- zinc oxide (ZnO) nanocomposites were obtained by a melt mixing process. Organo silane–modified ZnO and untreated ZnO, compositions with added stearic acid prepared in twin screw extruder. Thermal properties of the composites determined differential scanning calorimetry. The foamed conventional injection molding using chemical foaming agent azodicarbonamide. effects addition coupling on cell morphology, tensile strength, weight reduction investiagted. silane-treated was effective generation; however, this decreased strength composite foams. On other hand, induced slight increment that due to lower generation. When improvement considered togehther, 3 wt. % found be successful for PP foaming.
