ABSTRACT
The overheating caused by electrical loads is one of the essential factors impairing reliability photovoltaic components solar cells. most common technical solution to this problem use such additional elements as bypass diodes. However, practice installing diodes in parallel with a chain cells has shown that approach does not eliminate hot spots completely, and thus characteristics deteriorate at faster pace. One possible solutions critical thermistors based on metal-semiconductor phase transition materials, vanadium dioxide. Structurally, thermal protection implemented adding separate element thermistor contact it. This study investigated effectiveness prevent local Glass-ceramic materials dioxide vanadium-phosphate glass V2O5—P2O5 system were used elements, which abruptly change resistance 1.5—2.0 orders magnitude temperature range around 700С. research results showed considered protective can function reusable (self-healing) fuses against electrothermal overloads batteries. Considering relative simplicity low cost manufacturing technology glass-ceramic transition, described preventing situations higher requirements appears be promising.
