ABSTRACT
Insomnia is a common sleep disorder, yet its pathophysiological basis remains poorly understood. Studying group of 192 patients with focal brain lesions, we show significant association between insomnia and left dorsomedial prefrontal damage. Our findings are the first to demonstrate link discrete locus damage, providing novel insight into neurobiological mechanisms maintenance.
