ABSTRACT
Recent findings have implicated thalamic alpha oscillations in the phasic modulation of cortical activity. However, precise relationship between and neocortical activity remains unclear. Here we show a large sample healthy human participants ( n = 45) using spatial filtering techniques measures phase amplitude coupling that gamma-band posterior medial parietal cortex is modulated by during eyes-closed resting-state recordings. In addition, our visual was not but coupled to strong To overcome limitations electromagnetic source localization estimated conduction delays transfer entropy found nonspurious information from thalamus cortex. The present provide novel evidence for magneto-encephalography-measured oscillations, which highlight role inhibition coordination
