ABSTRACT
Seed deterioration is an unavoidable process to which seeds of oilseed plant species such as sunflower are especially sensitive. This study aimed determine whether different invigoration techniques can improve the attributes germination in and alleviate effects seed ageing. Both aged non-aged were subjected by pre-soaking with distilled water 3% KH 2 PO 4 for 24 hours at 25°C. Germination performance, seedling growth SDS-PAGE protein profile determined. The outcome depended on condition seeds: both reduced percentage seeds, while there was increase compared control. profiles revealed that low molecular weight proteins produced high-intensity bands high concentrations. After accelerated ageing followed H O treatment, some appeared region 2S albumins associated a higher germination. Our results point out treatments more effective vigour provide wide practical benefits.
