ABSTRACT
Patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) are frequently readmitted to the hospital due disease progression. Although a shorter 6-minute walk distance (6MWD) is correlated poor prognosis, 6MWD not considered clinical indicator for predicting readmission. We investigated whether measured at time of discharge predicted readmission in CHF patients.Patients admitted first were enrolled. After was discharge, patients followed-up 3 years. Clinical characteristics, and evaluated 252 (68.5 ± 11.8 years old, 162 males). Significant factors that affected extracted cut-off values determined using multivariate logistic regression analysis receiver operating characteristic curves.Of patients, 103 within significantly than non-readmitted (P < 0.001) significant predictor 0.001). The odds ratio 1.22 each 10-meter decrease 6MWD. value be 390 meters, sensitivity 0.75 specificity 0.77.6MWD an independent meters.
