ABSTRACT
Three formaldehyde-based resins were prepared: urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin without melamine modifier (named UF0 resin) and melamineurea-formaldehyde (MUF) with added at two different synthesis stages MUF1 MUF2 resin). The effects of the addition stage on performance curing behavior MUF studied.Three-ply plywood bonded by these adhesives was manufactured, its bond strength formaldehyde emissions measured. The functional groups measured differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR).Their activation energies calculated using Kissinger equation Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS) method. The results showed that had significant influences characteristics resins. The highest lowest emissions. The resin, significantly different; values 99.44 kJ/mol, 105.75 150.65 respectively.According to FT-IR spectra, amount methylene methylene-ether bonds in cured lowest, which meant cross-linking degree lowest.
