ABSTRACT
Aging is an extremely complex biological process, and various models, from unicellular organisms to mammals, have been used in its research. The mouse the most widely model for studying human aging diseases due high homology well-established strategies genetic manipulation. Despite these advantages, maximum lifespan of laboratory mice nearly three years, which makes it time-consuming obtain animals desired age. To avoid this issue efficiently conduct research, National Center Geriatrics Gerontology operates "Aging Farm", a system that supplies aged response researchers' requests. In present study, as part Farm project, we examined changes physiological functions lungs gene expression lung tissues they aged. A decline function was already apparent before 6 months age, continued until at least 1 year On other hand, profiling by RNA sequencing showed small early stages but more pronounced 12 24 age than 3 Age-related tissue are considered be involved pathogenesis chronic respiratory diseases, characterization will ensure quality resource
