Improving Middle School Students’ Understanding about Scientific Inquiry through Creative Problem-Solving Modules enriched with the History of Science

ABSTRACT
Research showed that middle school students’ understandings of scientific inquiry in Türkiye are inadequate spite the science curriculum reforms have been conducted recent years. And thus, contemporary curricula should be organized as learning environments where students can find creative solutions to real-life problems using inquiry, collaboration, and reflection experience process creating knowledge. In line with this, this study, it was aimed improve understanding about through namely Creative Problem-Solving Modules Enriched History Science , compare their effectiveness current curriculum. The participants study were 5th, 6th, 7th grades, who grouped intervention (N=141) control (N=77). Since is a quasi-experimental classroom interventions implemented classrooms for one academic year, whereas group classes, Ministry National Education (MoNE) practices, which has vision literacy based on inquiry-based teaching approaches, applied. data collection tool Views About Scientific Inquiry (VASI) Questionnaire developed by Lederman et al.
