ABSTRACT
Student involvement in the school and perception of parental support are core variables context studies on personal adjustment children adolescents should be considered socio-educational intervention. In this study, we formulated following objectives: i) to understand differences students’ support, according several sociodemographic variables, ii) analyse relationship between iii) outline intervention strategies contexts children’s lives. This is a non-experimental, correlational cross-sectional study by means non-probabilistic convenience sample consisting 150 children, aged 10 16 years, attending 2nd 3rd cycles basic education [5th – 9th years schooling] central region Portugal. The data collection instruments were “Students’ Engagement School: Four-Dimensional Scale SES-4DS” (Veiga 2013, 2016), “Perceived Parental Support Scale” (Veiga, 2011) part with socio-demographic questions was added.
