ABSTRACT
Affirming the profession of social educator, one who is best suited to mediate human relationships, requires an investment in training improve (inter)personal development students, thereby contributing a professional profile able face complex challenges contemporary society. Research into developing empathy, core variable exercising social-educational support functions, should be invested by educational institutions. In this context, aim study identify students’ perceptions empathy two higher education institutions Portugal and see how they vary according academic year, gender age, order understand implications for outline strategies promote development.
