ABSTRACT
Pulmonary complications from autoimmune diseases are rare in the pediatric age group, but with significant morbidity, compromising patients’ quality of life adulthood. The objective this study was to evaluate presence interstitial lung disease rheumatologic patients connective tissue diseases, who were submitted investigation through ultrasound during outpatient follow-up. medical records 40 reviewed April 2014 December 2021. evaluated those had already undergone and presented changes suggestive complementary chest high-resolution computed tomography pulmonary function tests. sample consisted 20 patients, 70% whom female. average 14 years. Half showed suggesting fibrosis on underwent further test. In 40% abnormal patterns parenchyma, disease, predominantly normal spirometry. Older longer duration statistically analysis between group both altered imaging tests (p= 0.008 p= 0.006, respectively). Lung can be a valuable screening tool for early detection collagenosis. Larger prospective longitudinal studies needed so that its specificity syndrome determined.
