ABSTRACT
Space charge penetration into bulk of cable insulation is known as the cause breakdown thus affecting power delivery capability. Penetration packet-like positive space enhances local field and when increases up to 5 MV/cm before occurs. Exactly occurs, seems stagnant it prevented penetrate further cathode. The generated Maxwell force assumed press free volume reducing size itself. A pulsed-electroacoustic (PEA) equipment capable sample tons developed. Sample used in this study a 150 µm low-density polyethylene (LDPE) sheet. stressed with dc voltage so that mean applied equal 1.5 MV/cm. range pressure from 0.1 MPa 32 MPa. gradually reduces increase pressure. pressed showed least depth little 5% thickness. As comparison, 85% This shows restricted pressed. result obtained requires at 24 suppress penetration.
